Assalam Alikum, I am borderline diabetic. I have to take a shot under the skin one hour before eating. Is it ok to take the shot during Ramadan one hour befor sunset, or do I have to wait until it is sunset and take the shot. Thank you for your time and effort.

You may take the shot before sunset with no harm in-sha’-Allah. You may ask your doctor about the rapid acting insulin, which will be more convenient for you since it is taken only a few minutes prior to eating.
